Information on color variation in PPF films

Why might the shade vary?

Colored PPF films are manufactured in production batches. Within a single batch, the color and shade of the material remain consistent, but color differences may occur between individual batches.

This is a natural characteristic of the production process for colored materials and a phenomenon that occurs throughout the market, regardless of the manufacturer. Differences may be particularly noticeable with saturated colors and films with matte and satin finishes.

This information applies to all colored PPF films available in our product range. It does not apply to clear films.

How does the production batch affect the final result?

To ensure the greatest possible color consistency, the material intended for wrapping a single vehicle should come from the same production batch.

Using material from different production batches may result in a visible difference in shade between individual parts of the vehicle. The difference may be particularly noticeable for parts located directly next to each other and under certain lighting conditions and angles.

What should you know before placing an order?

To minimize the risk of color variations:

* Orders for a single vehicle are fulfilled from a single production batch, provided they are placed as a complete order,

* The production batch number is indicated on the sales document,

* Upon request, we can confirm the availability of a specific batch before you place your order,

* We recommend allowing for a material buffer of approximately 15% above the calculated requirement, which helps minimize the risk of having to use material from a different batch for any necessary touch-ups.

Important for replenishment orders

If you need to purchase additional material for a vehicle that has already been wrapped, please pay special attention to the production batch number.

Material from a different batch may differ in shade from the material previously applied to the vehicle. Therefore, before placing a replenishment order, we recommend verifying the batch number and the availability of material from the same batch.

Color variations and complaints

Color variations resulting from the use of material from different production batches do not constitute grounds for a complaint. This applies in particular to material purchased as a supplement to a previously completed project and to differences between vehicle components on which material from different production batches was used.

Information for the end-customer

The sales partner and certified installer are required to inform the end customer of the possibility of color variations between production batches before accepting the order and to obtain confirmation that the customer has read and understood this information.
